When the AMP error first appeared, I didn’t know what it referred to. Amplifier
was the first thought but then I thought it could also be AMPs on the power line.
I finally asked [...]. They immediately contacted their local agent, Geo Meyers,
and the service was immediate. They brought two replacement boards with
them but neither worked. They arranged for another appointment. The next time
they brought another board. No luck. They suggested and I agreed that it would
make more sense for them to take it into the shop. They brought it back within
two working days. This was all done under the 90-day warranty. They made three
trips(not short)but they did it willingly and were always in touch with me by
phone for any news.
I must first compliment Sharp for providing such prompt service. The TV seems to be
working well but I’ve not used it for a full week yet. From time of purchase to
actual delivery was longer than expected, almost two weeks(but it was free!)
It’s taken almost another two weeks for the TV to actually be enjoyed.
If I encounter no more problems, it was a great bargain. I could write a better

I’ve been researching and saving for this TV for a long time. This TV by far was the best value for my money. I’ve looked at LG, Samsung, Sony, and a few others. I must say that so far I have found nothing to say that is bad about the Toshiba. If anything that I’ve learned so far is that all of the big name brand flat screens are the same. It really boils down to how much money you are willing to spend for the TV. I haven’t been able to really play with the color settings yet and haven’t been able to fully use the 1080p settings yet. DirecTV has screwed up my service since moving and they haven’t solved the problem since I’m paying for HD service and I’m not getting it. I’ve got a feeling that I’m going to dump DirecTV when my contract is up with them and get a package deal from Verizon since I’ve got FiOS internet at my house. The only time that I’ve use the 1080p setting is on my Xbox 360 and so far it has a better picture on my TV then my Brother-in-laws HDTV. Samsung UN46B8500 46-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LED HDTV Review

I purchased this set after reading many of the reviews on Amazon and the Sound and Vision review. This HDTV is one amazing device. It replaced a 7 year old Samsung 50″ DLP that finally went toes up.
The first positive experience started with the delivery by Pilot. They delivered the set three days early and they arrived right on time. I did not have them unpack the TV as I had some equipment rearranging to do before unpacking. I had no problem getting the TV out of the box and setting it on the base by myself.
I gave the TV a quick check and no problems were found. Once I got everything connected I finally got a chance to see just what this set could deliver. I was truly amazed at the incredible picture quality. When viewing 4:3 content I could not see where the black vertical bars ended and the black bezel began. When watching The Good Wife on CBS they fade to black before switching to commercials. A fade to black looks like the set is off.
The sound from the built-in speakers is good for voice only. It would be nice if Samsung provided terminals to connect external speakers.
I originally purchased the Samsung Wireless adapter but decided to return it and use Netgear’s Powerline AV Ethernet kit instead. The kit comes with a 4 port switch that I used to connect the TV, Blu-ray player and Series 3 TiVo. The setup of the Netgear kit was a piece of cake.
I have a Harmony remote and when I originally set up the remote with the DLP TV it was a major pain to get it working correctly. Making the change to use the Harmony with the new TV was really easy. I just went on-line, made all of the changes, updated the remote and everything worked perfectly the first time.

VIZIO SV472XVT 47-Inch Class XVT Series TRULED 240Hz sps LED LCD VIZIO Internet Apps HDTV Review

I got one 3 weeks back, and I must say its a good buy. I was really not sure whether to go for Sony, Samsung or Vizio until I read the reviews on Cnet. The interesting part of the review was the features and overall picture quality.

I must admit, it meat the expectations. Set-up was easy, universal remote works great, internet apps are easily accessible. HD picture quality is sound, which is expected and at par with rest. But big suspicion I always had is how the TV handles non HD content like TV Channels with 480i,720p, old DVD player with no HDMI, Netflix with non HD content, etc. I don’t have much experience with other HDTVs, but this TV kind of handling it quite well. I don’t see that screwed up image quality ( I remember seeing on some other hdtv), and by adjusting the picture size we can still optimize the quality. Audio is good, Pandora works great. here is the summary.

Another big plus is internet apps, I love the way I can tweet from my TV, while watching a movie/game. ditto with facebook. I viewed some facebook photo gallery, it looks great.Netflix is easy and works great.

Pros.
1) Picture quality
2) WI-FI connectivity
3) Price
4) Internet apps (Netflix,Twitter,Facebook,etc)
5) Bluetooth remote. (You must have Bluetooth remote to tweet, no need to show at TV while typing)
6) Non HD content is displayed reasonably better.

Cons.
1) Slow during start-up (takes 10 secs)
2) Keys on the Remote are hard to find at times. (No radium top, you just can’t see anything if the room is dark). I don’t know why they didn’t think of it.
3)Internet apps missing YouTube and Picasa. (I can’t imagine internet TV without YouTube)
4) Little bulky compared to conventional LED TVs

Issues found ( I could be wrong, but want to write here)
1)while watching Netflix images skewed once. (not sure TV problem, or Netflix movie content problem)
2)Turned off automatically once
3)Once the color went to 0 and picture is black and white. Had to go to setting and change

I purchased one of these the other day for the man cave. I primarily use it for PS3 games and movies. I was concerned about the 60 HZ, but even with sports and action movies I can not detect any blur or jerk. I like the feature of connecting a home computer through a network allowing one to view pictures, streaming etc… The TV looks good and the picture is excellent. The space saving design is a plus as well as the illuminating feature on the remote. The sound is OK. I paired it with a “Sumsung Sound Bar” (HT-WS1 Sound Bar – Speaker system – 260 Watt (total).. The bar sounds great and the remote works in perfect harmony with the TV. I would have rated TV with A 5 star , but I’M a realist and and nothing is perfect….but this come pretty darn close….. 4.5 stars…..
